Chandigarh: The Punjabi entertainment world plunged into grief on Thursday as news emerged of the sudden demise of legendary comedian and actor Jaswinder Bhalla. Famous for his iconic character “Chacha Chatra,” Bhalla entertained generations with his unmatched wit and became a household name across Punjab and beyond.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led the tributes, expressing heartfelt sorrow. “The sudden departure of Jaswinder Bhalla ji from this world is very sad… My heart is heavy. May Waheguru bless his soul with eternal peace. Uncle Chatra will forever remain in our hearts,” Mann said in a condolence message.
