SAS Nagar, August 21: Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal today chaired a review meeting with revenue officials to assess the progress of revenue-related services, including clearance of pending mutations, smooth facilitation of Easy Jamabandi, and implementation of the SWAMITVA scheme in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to expedite the disposal of all pending mutation cases in a time-bound manner to ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary delays in land records updation. She stressed the importance of transparency and accountability in the functioning of revenue offices.
Reviewing the Easy Jamabandi initiative, she asked officials to clear the pendency without any delay so that landowners can easily access updated land records online without hassles. She highlighted that the digitization of records has brought convenience, but timely updates remain crucial.
Discussing the SWAMITVA scheme, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized its role in providing accurate property ownership records in rural areas through drone-based surveys. She instructed field staff to ensure the verifications of maps timely so that maximum households can benefit from property cards.
She further directed all revenue officers and concerned staff to submit regular progress reports and warned that laxity in service delivery will not be tolerated.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated that efficient and transparent land record management is a priority of the administration, as it directly impacts citizens’ rights and ease of access to government services.
