Chandigarh Reports First COVID Death of 2025; Ludhiana Man Succumbs After Respiratory Complications

Chandigarh, May 28, 2025: In a concerning development, Chandigarh recorded its first COVID-related death of the year. The deceased has been identified as a 40-year-old resident of Ludhiana, who had tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

According to hospital sources, the patient was admitted four days ago after experiencing severe respiratory distress. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to the infection today.

Health authorities have confirmed the death and are urging citizens to follow necessary precautions amid a mild resurgence of cases in the region.
