Panipat (National Times): In a significant development, Haryana Police have arrested a suspected Pakistani spy in Panipat for allegedly transmitting sensitive information to operatives across the border. The accused, 28-year-old Nauman Ilahi, hails from Kairana in Shamli district, Uttar Pradesh, and was apprehended on May 13 in Sector 13/17 of Panipat.
In Contact with Terrorist Based in Pakistan
According to Additional Director General of Police (Crime) Kuldeep Yadav, Ilahi was found to be in contact with a suspected terrorist named Iqbal, who is believed to be operating out of Pakistan. Investigators allege that Ilahi used WhatsApp and other social media platforms to leak classified Indian information to his handler.
Digital Devices Seized for Forensic Examination
During the arrest, a mobile phone, laptop, and multiple documents were recovered from the suspect. All electronic devices have been sent for forensic analysis to assess the volume and nature of the compromised data.

Initial interrogation suggests that Ilahi may be part of a larger international spy ring. Sources say the accused has confessed to maintaining regular contact with his Pakistani handler over an extended period.
