Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): The Hindu Society of Calgary hosted a vibrant Holi celebration at the Hindu Temple, bringing together community members, cultural performances, and dignitaries in a joyful display of unity and tradition. Alberta Premier Danielle Smith inaugurated the event by participating in a traditional worship ceremony and was given a tour of the temple by President Rajesh Punj and his committee, who also shared plans for upcoming projects.
Premier Smith, while speaking with National Times, extended Holi greetings and commended the Hindu Society for organizing an event that fosters brotherhood and cultural togetherness. She later enjoyed lively cultural performances, including a high-energy Marathi Dhol Tasha presentation by the Calgary Marathi Association (CMA) and engaging dance routines by children.

The festival continued with Holi color play, where Premier Smith joined attendees in celebrating with joy and enthusiasm. The event also featured stalls offering Indian food, clothing, jewelry, and Puja items, attracting people of all ages in large numbers.
Several dignitaries attended the celebration, including Calgary Skyview MP Amanpreet Gill, McKnight MP Dalwinder Gill, MLA Peter Singh and Ward 5 Councillor Raj Dhaliwal. All extended warm Holi greetings and shared messages of unity and kindness. From premier office Happy Mann , Jatinder Tatla, Iskon Temple team, Gujrati Mandal Team, CMA team , Rishi Nagar from RedFm were also present and other community leaders actively participating in the color festivities.
The well organized event brought together tradition, celebration, and community spirit, making it a memorable Holi for all.
