World’s Largest Car Manufacturing Plant Taking Shape in Kharkhoda; NOCs for Entrepreneurs Within 15 Days
Chandigarh, April 11 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the state government will set up Integrated Manufacturing Townships (IMTs) in 10 more districts, modeled after the one in Kharkhoda. This initiative aims to strengthen the ‘Make in India’ campaign while turning the dream of ‘Make in Haryana’ into reality.
The Chief Minister visited the under-construction Maruti Suzuki plant in Kharkhoda today to review its progress. He said the project would lay a strong foundation for India’s industrial future and reiterated the government’s commitment to stand by entrepreneurs at every step.
CM Saini announced that all types of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) will now be issued within 15 days of online application through a single-window system. In cases of technical delays, NOCs will still be provided within 30 days after resolving the issues.
He proudly noted that the world’s largest car manufacturing plant is being built in Kharkhoda’s IMT, which will have the capacity to produce one million cars annually. This plant is expected to become a milestone in Haryana’s industrial development.
The Chief Minister also informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hisar on April 14 to inaugurate flight services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport and lay the foundation stone of an 800-megawatt supercritical power plant in Yamunanagar. These major developments will significantly accelerate the state’s economic progress.
Focusing on future energy needs, CM Saini stated that the government is emphasizing solar power, coal-based plants, and nuclear energy to boost electricity production. He added that PM Modi’s efforts over the last decade have revolutionized road infrastructure, power generation, and administrative reforms, which in turn have spurred industrial growth across the country.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi welcomed the Chief Minister during his visit and appreciated the state government’s prompt support, noting that the rapid progress of the plant was possible due to seamless cooperation from the administration.
CM Saini also visited the Minda Group’s upcoming facility in the IMT. He was accompanied by Industries Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, BJP state president Mohanlal Kaushik, MLAs Pawan Kharkhoda and Krishna Gehlawat, Nikhil Madan, Mayor Rajeev Jain, and other senior officials.
