PM Modi to Gift Major Development Projects to Haryana on April 14: Shyam Singh Rana

New thermal unit in Yamunanagar and airport in Hisar among key announcements

Chandigarh, April 7 – Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present significant development gifts to the people of Haryana on April 14, marking the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. On this day, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW thermal power unit in Yamunanagar and inaugurate a new airport and terminal in Hisar.

The thermal unit in Yamunanagar will be constructed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). Calling it a proud moment for Haryana, the minister stated that these projects will become milestones in the state’s development.

Rana further revealed that massive public rallies will be held in Yamunanagar and Hisar to mark the events, with lakhs expected to attend. Citizens from 12 districts will gather in Yamunanagar and from 15 districts in Hisar. Thousands from Radaur constituency alone will join to hear the Prime Minister, he added.

The minister also highlighted ongoing support for farmers. Mustard and wheat are being purchased at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and payments are being directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts. To curb fake seeds and agro-chemicals, the government has enforced strict regulations aimed at increasing farmers’ income. Comprehensive arrangements have been made at procurement centers to ensure smooth grain purchases without inconvenience to the farmers.
