Spiritual Leaders Are Our True Guides, Says Union Minister Manohar Lal

Addresses second day of annual festival at Sanskrit college in Gurugram’s Pataudi

Chandigarh, April 6 – Union Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, emphasized the importance of saints and spiritual leaders as true guides in comprehending the deep teachings of India’s ancient scriptures. Speaking as the chief guest on the second day of the annual three-day festival at Hari Mandir Sanskrit College in Pataudi, Gurugram, he said the Sanatan tradition holds a rich legacy of spiritual knowledge.

The Union Minister said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047 is gaining momentum through public cooperation and awareness. He stressed that India’s strength as a global leader lies not only in economic power but also in the moral conduct of its citizens, which is nurtured by the presence of spiritual mentors.

He noted that under PM Modi’s leadership, longstanding national issues are being resolved one by one. The public’s active participation in national campaigns is a testament to the success of these initiatives, including the 2023 Viksit Bharat Yatra. Urging the audience to rise above caste divisions, he called for unity under the message of “One Haryana, One Haryanvi.”

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi also addressed the event. Among those present were Mahamandaleshwar Swami Dharmdev, Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam, MLAs Dhanesh Adlakha (Badkhal), Pawan Kharakoda (Kharkhoda), and Kanwar Singh (Mahendragarh), along with several dignitaries.
