New Delhi, April 19, 2025 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of JEE Main 2025 (Paper 1 – B.E./B.Tech) on Saturday, revealing that 24 candidates have achieved the elusive 100 percentile, with Rajasthan emerging as the top-performing state, contributing seven of the perfect scorers.
The high-stakes exam, which serves as the first gateway to India’s top engineering institutes, was held in two sessions – January and April – witnessing participation from 14.75 lakh candidates out of the 15.39 lakh who had registered. The exams were conducted in 13 languages across 300 cities, including 15 international centres like Dubai, Singapore, Doha, and Washington DC.
Among the 24 toppers, Telangana and Maharashtra produced four each, Uttar Pradesh three, West Bengal two, and Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh one each. Notably, two female candidates — Devdutta Majhi (West Bengal) and Sai Manogna Guthikonda (Andhra Pradesh) — are among those who secured a perfect score.
The NTA also announced category-wise percentile cut-offs for JEE Advanced 2025 eligibility. For unreserved candidates, the cut-off was 93.10 percentile; EWS – 80.38; OBC-NCL – 79.43; SC – 61.15; ST – 47.90; and for PwBD (UR) – a mere 0.0079 percentile.
Strict security protocols were enforced, including AI-based video monitoring, biometric attendance, 5G jammers, and real-time CCTV surveillance. Despite these measures, results of 110 candidates were withheld due to malpractice, and 23 for identity discrepancies.
Of the total, over 8.33 lakh candidates registered for both sessions, and 7.75 lakh appeared twice. For such students, the better of the two scores was taken into account.
With the results out, the focus now shifts to JEE Advanced 2025 — the crucial exam for admission into IITs.
