National Times Bureau :- A shocking incident has emerged from Amritsar, where an 18-year-old migrant girl, identified as Geeta, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a private residence where she had been working for the past two years. The incident has sparked outrage among her family members, who suspect foul play.
According to the family, they received information about the tragic incident and rushed to the spot immediately. They alleged that the girl’s hands and feet bore burn marks, leading them to suspect that she might have been electrocuted before being hanged.
Following the incident, the victim’s family staged a protest and accused the house owner of being responsible for her death. They claimed that Geeta did not take her own life but was deliberately killed.
Station House Officer (SHO) Ranjit Singh stated that the police have launched an investigation and the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. “We are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death. Further action will be taken based on the findings,” he said.The incident has created tension in the locality, and authorities have assured a fair and thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind this tragic death.
