New Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has announced that 1,466 police personnel from various parts of the country will receive the Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak for 2025, recognizing their remarkable contributions and professional excellence in different fields of policing.
In a statement issued on Friday, the ministry said that the award celebrates the exemplary performance of officers in four crucial categories — special operations, investigations, intelligence gathering, and forensic science. The recognition seeks to encourage dedication, innovation, and efficiency among police forces and allied security organisations.
Instituted on February 1, 2024, the Dakshata Padak is conferred on officials serving in state police departments, Union Territory forces, Central Armed Police Forces, intelligence units, and forensic divisions. The awards are announced each year on October 31, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister, whose legacy is celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day).
The official list of recipients has been published on the MHA’s website. By recognising the tireless efforts of police and security personnel, the ministry reaffirmed its commitment to promoting professional standards and strengthening internal security mechanisms across the country.
Officials said that the Kendriya Grihmantri Dakshata Padak not only rewards individual excellence but also underscores the spirit of teamwork, integrity, and commitment that drives India’s policing system.
