Toronto (Canada), March 9, 2025: A shooting at a pub near Scarborough Town Centre late Friday night left at least 12 people injured, triggering a major police manhunt for three suspects.
Toronto police confirmed on Saturday that six of the victims suffered gunshot wounds, though none are life-threatening. The injured range in age from their 20s to mid-50s. Authorities described the situation as “dynamic,” with paramedics attending to injuries varying from minor to critical.
The shooting occurred around 10:39 p.m. local time, according to CTV News. Initially, police identified a suspect wearing a black balaclava who fled the scene in a silver vehicle. Further investigations revealed the involvement of two more suspects.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow assured the public that a full-scale investigation is underway, stating that “all necessary resources have been deployed to locate and arrest those responsible.” Toronto Police emphasized their commitment to public safety, confirming that “all available resources are being used to track down the perpetrators.”
As the search intensifies, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the investigation.
